Megan Schlobohm - 90 Degree Yoga

August 26, 2018

In this episode I talk with, Megan Schlobohm Owner and Instructor at 90 Degree Yoga in Anderson, SC.

The benefits of hot yoga are undeniable for me. As I have only been practicing for a short while, I thought Megan would be the perfect counterpart for this episode. She has been practicing for 15 years and teaching for a year.

In this episode we cover a wide range of topics. Most importantly we talked about all the benefits yoga has provided us. Most people thing it's just a physically thing but I can assure you it's far more.

If you've been thinking about trying any type of yoga, this episode will let you know what to expect.

You can visit the 90 Degree website for more information. www.90degreesanderson.com

Sue McKinney - Barnabas Horse Foundation

Sue McKinney - Barnabas Horse Foundation

August 19, 2018

In this episode I talk with, Sue McKinney President/Founder of Barnabas Horse Foundation.

Barnabas provides equine assisted therapy for individuals and families recovering from a traumatic experience and/or improves the quality of life of children
and adults with disabilities through human and horse interaction.

This place really is magical. Barnabas is the end result of a whole lot of people with love in their hearts and pain in there past refusing to throw in the towel. I could feel the compassion as soon as I walked in the door. This was extended much farther after meeting the animals that are fortunate enough to call this place home. Like the people, each animal has it's own story of how it found its way to Barnabas.

This was a shorter episode due to my selfishness to get out and visit with the animals. There is something about being among such amazing creatures that makes you really feel at peace.

If you are able to make a donation I encourage you to please do that. I can personally attest to how far they make the donations go to improve lives of those that need it most.

In this episode I talk with Sarah Rhodes.

Sarah often gets labeled as a nutritionist. While she is extremely knowledgeable in that area, her understand of the human body is much deeper.

Like most of us she has had her share of ups and downs. The person these struggles have made her is simply beautiful. I was very lucky to get a chance to sit and talk with her. We stopped at 2.5 hours but I could have gone all day. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did. I truly believe there is something for everyone on this one.

Amber Jones

June 6, 2018

In this episode I talk with Amber Jones.

Amber is a successful owner of multiple businesses. For those that don't know, Amber she can be very shy. So much so that she tried to take her own life, luckily it didn't work, and she didn't say anything about it until recently. This is the first time she has talked about this publicly. I know that can't be an easy thing to do but we both felt it was important.

If you struggle with depression, please seek professional help. Talk to someone. Don't try to deal with it on own. Definitely don't let things get so bad you think about taking your own life.

If either of us can help you, please let us know!

Amber's blog can be found at: Hope to Goals

Survival of the Fittest. Literally.

Survival of the Fittest. Literally.

April 10, 2018

With the obesity rate in the US estimated to be around 40%, it's time we had a tough conversation.

This episode is not intended to attack anyone. It is however intended to be a punch in the gut for those that need it. Being overweight can cause a huge list of health problems. The biggest being heart disease, which kills 598,000 people a year, and thats just 1 of the risks you are putting yourself at.

Then you have to factor in the physical appearance. Everyone wants to dance around that subject because it's not politically correct. That may be true, but it doesn't mean judgements aren't being made based on it. You may have the "I don't care what others think" attitude which is fine. Just know that how others view you may be holding you back. I get into this in more detail which I relate to bad posture and body language.

Again, this is meant to inspire. If I help just one person with this, I don't give a shit how many get "offended."
